| MESSAGE FROM ROB | Well we finally made it !!
The crossing was fantastic - an experience that will never be forgotten.
There are no horror stories - no capsizes, shark attacks or pirates just 68 days of big seas, heavy rain, Pete and (his) strong wind.
The welcome to Antigua was as amazing as it was unexpected and having spent four days refuelling the sores and aches and pains have become distant memories.
A big thank you to everyone who sent us messages and emails or donated money to our chosen charities - c u all soon. | | Posted: fri, 10 feb 2006 , 18:33 |

I'd like to say a big thanks to everyone who has donated to all our charities, to Jo (Robs wife) & Ali (my wife ) for doing such a great job on the diary updates especially Jo for keeping everyone up to date after we lost our comms on xmas eve. Thanks to my Mum for the St Christopher she gave me to keep me safe (it worked). Finally thanks go to Rob, there can't have been many teams to cross an ocean together without one cross word being exchanged! Hope to see everyone soon in the UK. Pete.

| 8TH FEB - WEB UPDATE | Sorry for the delay in posting this & the pics - you've just got to go with the pace here, man.
On Monday morning the boys appeared over the horizon to be met by a boat full of family supporters just outside English Harbour. Once inside the entrance, the harbour exploded into life with horns & hooters being set off from all the moored vessels and the crowds gathered dockside. A group of local school children positioned on a cliff top sang the boys in with Row,Row,Row your boat! The pics say it all about how Pete and Rob were feeling at that moment!
Since then there has been a lot of eating and sleeping and eating and sleeping. We hope they'll stop for long enough to post there own messages here in the next day or so! | | Posted: wed, 8 feb 2006 , 15:33 |

| MONDAY 6TH FEBRURARY 2006 | News from hot and sunny Antigua...
Both Rob and Pete arrived happy, tanned, and well. They haven't stopped grinning yet - and are very upbeat about the whole 68 days, 1 hour and 3 minutes they spent crossing the Atlantic. We should be able to post photos tomorrow (before and after shots I hope) so please keep checking the diary for details.

| SUNDAY FEB 5 2006 | The party has started in Antigua.
Rob and Pete have an estimated arrival time tomorrow of a very civilised 12 noon (4pm uk), just time for a rum punch or two before the 6 or 7 lunches they are expected to eat.
Charmed Life finshed earlier today - A spectacular effort. Check out their website for details. PACIFIC PETE (Chris) is zipping along - The guy must be knackered, but still keeps on going. Will it be an oar on oar race to the line tomorrow?
Final chance to bet on weight loss before the offical weigh in. Also a time to prepare for the endless stories of heroism and horror and the shark tales that just keep growing.... | | Posted: sun, 5 feb 2006 , 20:29 |
| 3RD FEB - WEB UPDATE | Ground control are heading for the Caribbean to greet our two hunky heros. If Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are off pirating somewhere else we will happily settle for two scrawny rowers.
Keep checking here for up to the minute race info. Also make sure you send messages to Rob and Pete via 'contact us'. Having gone so long without contact they will be pleased to know they've not been forgotten. | | Posted: fri, 3 feb 2006 , 18:17 |
